Nutrition Pyramid - Hide, hide n seek

The basic idea behind the nutrition pyramid is to provide information about
how to get optimum nutrition benefits from food that our bodies require on a daily basis. The nutrition pyramid makes some basic assumptions the greatestof which is that the food they are illustrating is properly grown, therebyhaving certain mineral/nutrient content.This is where I liken using the nutrition pyramid with the children's game of 'hide and seek.' I know you emember how to play, the seeker will hide their eyes while the rest of those laying will go and find hiding places. It is up to this point that my analogy orks. As I have found using the nutrition pyramid, it's been like this game. I consult the pyramid, the rules of the game, then I go looking for the players; this store has this part, that market has some more, I am supposed to find drinkable water, etc. Then get all of this stuff home and put it all together in proper proportions and I've made my tag........you're it.
Wait, somebody's cheating here. Johan, what do you mean? Listen, in the game the main rule is you have to stay in the playing field, in other words, youcan't be missing from the game. In our real game of life here with the foodswe are supposed to be getting nutritional benefit from, something is missing.Missing? what in the world are you talking about, Johan? What we aren't beingtold in all of this mess is our typical produce is missing alot of veryvaluable nutrients. There are many reasons why these values that our bodyrequires is missing but the point here is that nobody is telling us theseimportant minerals, enzymes/co-enzymes are missing. But studies have shownyear after year since as early as 1942 that they are missing. How can you play the game if what you are searching for is missing? Johan, you've lost mehere, everything I buy at the store or market looks like what it's supposed tohow can you say anything is missing. Research into this is very clear, important nutrients are missing from the fields, severe mineral deficincies in particular. The produce, grains, nuts, fruits all 'look' just fine, we think we are playingthe game with all of the players, but alas, we are clearly being short changed.Take minerals out of the food equation and what suffers? Your body! Key nutrients are absolutely necessary for optimum health, even for minimal health. Take even some of those minerals out and ...... your body suffers, period. I could go on and on here, but I'm hoping that you have gotten the point. Bottom line is that after years of research looking for optimum nutrition that meets the nutrition pyramid daily requirements I have found one product line that I take and highly recommend as basic foundation for optimum health.I would like to introduce it to you with additional information about the nutrition pyramid. I think we often just skip over the fact that our bodies need the proper nutrition. It is so easy to do in this hectic world we live in. The nutrition pyramid is a great reminder of the things our bodies need to be healthy. Supplements are about the only way that we can really have balanced nutrition.
